WELCOME TO ZOE PLUMLEY'S BOOK COLLABORATION!

Below you'll find everything you need to know as a potential Co-Author

Meet Zoe

Hi I'm Zoe Plumley. I'm a strategic leader, disability inclusion specialist, and passionate advocate for workforce wellbeing. I bring a rare blend of lived experience and professional expertise to my work, shaped by navigating complex health challenges, disability, and adversity.

Rather than allowing those experiences to limit me, I have transformed them into a powerful mission: ensuring no one feels excluded, unsupported, or unseen. As Managing Director of L&L Specialist Services Ltd, I have built a respected reputation for helping organisations create environments where people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and neurodivergence can truly thrive.

My approach combines inclusive leadership, practical strategy, and deep compassion - proving that high performance and humanity can coexist. I have delivered national inclusion events and received recognition through multiple business and inclusion awards.

I have supported organisations to strengthen their accessibility standards and inclusive practices, while scaling my own business through innovative, sustainable, and wellbeing-focused operational models. My expertise spans inclusive HR practices, disability and neurodiversity-confident leadership, policy development, corporate governance, staff wellbeing, resilience, retention, and strategic organisational growth.

At the heart of my work is a bold, human-centered belief: “Having a health condition or disability doesn’t mean you're out of the game; it just means you're taking a different route.”

Join my book collaboration as a Co-Author

My vision for this book is to create something honest, hopeful, and genuinely useful - bringing together lived experience and real-world insight to show what inclusion, accessibility, and wellbeing truly look like in everyday life.

It will gently challenge the assumptions we carry about who belongs, whose needs are considered, and how systems and environments can unintentionally exclude.

Through honest stories, practical ideas, and shared learning, this book will help readers move from good intentions to meaningful action - and leave them believing they can help create spaces where everyone belongs.

Although inclusion sits at the heart of the book, this collaboration is not limited to people working in the EDI field. Some of the most powerful contributions will come from those who may feel they are “not the obvious fit” - leaders, creatives, educators, organisers, innovators, and problem-solvers who design, lead, or deliver work in ways that make life easier, fairer, and more human.

Inclusion is not a job title; it is an approach. This is an opportunity to contribute to a credible, purpose-driven publication that will influence thinking, support better practice, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.

If you bring insight, lived experience, professional expertise, or a better way of doing things that supports people to thrive, your perspective belongs in these pages. Together, we can show that better ways of working belong to anyone willing to think differently and put people first - because courage makes inclusion real, and accessibility makes it last.

We welcome contributors with insight, professional expertise, or lived experience in:

Leadership & Workplace Culture

People-first leadership and inclusive workplace practices.

Wellbeing, psychological safety, and equitable workforce support.

Accessibility, Design & Systems

Creating accessible services, events, environments, or digital experiences.

Removing barriers in processes, policies, and user journeys.

Neurodiversity, Health & Lived Experience

Neurodiversity-affirming approaches and inclusive ways of working.

Lived experience of disability, health challenges, or exclusion shaping better solutions.

Learning, Innovation & Community Impact

Inclusive education, training, coaching, or community initiatives.

New ways of working that make life easier, fairer, and more human.

You don’t need an inclusion title to contribute - if your work or experience helps people participate, thrive, and belong, your voice matters.
